Below Zero Ice Driving: Back on the Ice in 2017
We’re massive fans of the work that the guys at Below Zero. Their formula of almost unlimited seat time in classic Porsche 911s is a complete winner, and it’s something which any Porsche fan looking for a unique and unforgettable experience should consider doing.
We can attest first hand to how much fun there is to be had with a well-sorted Porsche 911 and miles of frozen lake, too. Back in the June 2016 issue Martyn Morgan-Jones wrote in almost overly positive terms about his experience with Below Zero. Summing up his experience, Marty said; “If you can, I urge you to enrol of one of the Below Zero courses. I found my course to be massive fun, wonderfully sociable, occasionally humbling, incredibly thrilling, and insightful – not to mention being so well organised and run. Life, and ice driving tuition, just doesn’t get any better.”

For the 2017 season, which runs from January 10th to mid-March, there is an additional treat for anyone lucky enough to book onto a course. “We’ve added another classic Porsche for next year, in the form of a 914/6 GT,” says Tim Scarff who heads up Below Zero’s programme. “The challenge of the mid-engined 914/6 will be a new experience for our returning customers.”
